Checkmate Totem,Tall Glass Tower,Glass Art,Yard Glass Art,Deck Glass Art,Glass Totem,Glass Yard Art,Wedding Deco,Garden Glass Art,Yard Art I call this totem/tower Checkmate because it reminds me of a chess piece so it would make a great piece for someone who likes chess. The vase that makes part of the totem has beautiful birds on it so it's would be a great piece for a bird lover too. The white pieces have opposite it stripes. One has horizontal stripes & one has vertical stripes which gives the piece a unique look. My philosophy for this glass art is bringing the pieces of glass together in a cohesive way to make these one of kind pieces which will bring joy to the owner. So, where would you put your totem? Measurements: 34 tall X 11 wide base 7 1/2 wide middle unboxed weight: 12.4 lbs in 2018 I discovered what is referred to as recycle glass yard art. Which means turning used glass objects, dishes, vases or whatever you can find that you want to re purpose into a wonderful piece of art. (I love looking for those special pieces. (It's like an ongoing scavenger hunt at thrift stores, garage sales, antique shops etc) That special piece (cost of glass reflected in the price) to use & put together into glass flowers or totems for you to put in your yard, garden, deck, front porch, fence, flower pot or where ever you choose to brighten up with these adorable one of kind works of art. Some pieces I use may have slight imperfections, (small chips or cracks) but still look great in their new-found forms. I use a special silicone adhesive that allows my flowers & totems to withstand cold & hot temperatures. I've tested my pieces to make sure they will actually withstand temperatures as hot as 100+ degree heat & cold as much as -30 degrees. Although I wouldn't recommend leaving your pieces out for long periods of time in that kind of cold. Brrr.... The adhesive will hold but that kind of cold could potentially break the glass. I would recommend storing in winter or bringing indoors & displaying with your potted plants. If you live in an area where you have to mow then I would recommend covering your totem with the box it ships in to protect it when you are mowing close to where you have it. Simply slip the box over the top. These totems/towers make great unique gifts for people who love their yard, garden or outdoor spaces. Gifts for Birthdays, Weddings, Anniversaries, Mother's Day, Father's Day, House Warming, & Holidays for those hard to buy for love ones. Also can be used for a party or wedding decoration.
