Star (Setareh) J46 - Distinctive Wildlife Sculpture Artists have a unique opportunity, whether by written word, visual images, or sound, to raise awareness to issues & appeal for a call to action. As a wildlife sculptor, my special gift is to give a voice to the animals I depict. A voice or voices rather, that I would like to make heard with this sculpture of Star J46 are those of the three pods of orcas that navigate the waters between Washington & Canada. The gentle giants stay in the area year round & are a delight to behold, but they are in need of our help. Due to many factors such as; pollution, disease, & starvation, these icons of the Pacific Northwest are at risk of becoming a memory. Efforts are being made to correct damages to their environment, but more involvement is needed. The purchase of this sculpture comes with adoption papers for Star in your name. Adoption proceeds support the stewardship of the endangered resident orcas & the Salish Sea ecosystem.
