The wine barrel coffee table in Shabby Black is an elegant & modern version of our wine barrel tables. We use real, used oak barriques in which red wine was previously stored for several years in France. By processing them in the barrel forge, we give them a second life as a chic piece of furniture in your living room. The high-quality & robust oak has individual signs of wear, which gives this table a certain authenticity & character. The oak shelf allows for more storage space. The general processing involves sanding & deburring the barrels & barrel rings so that rough signs of wear are removed & there is no risk of injury. The barrel staves are clamped together under the screwed rings so that everything stays in shape. However, fine cracks can form over time, as wood is a raw material that can change over the years. To create the characteristic surface, the table is first varnished black & then lightly sanded again. This makes the grain & staves of the barrel even more visible.
