This functional side table is a crossover design based on my bricolage sculpture project. About bricolage; this mode of artistic production has been employed historically by Joseph Bueys, the artists popularized by Aaron Rose, & more recently by Tom Sachs & his acolytes. These deftly crafted objects from found, built & collected objects & is traditional to the area of Canada where I am from. Here, it is also called assemblage or vernacular sculpture. I am happy to see my traditional craft receive claim from art institutions & collectors. Hand Made Each table is made one at a time in my studio. Grain variation, slight tool marks, & the organic geometry are part of the character no two are identical. This is not factory furniture. This is functional art.
