The wooden part of the stele is approximately 98 cm high, 17 cm wide, & 3 cm thick. The ground spikes add approximately 40 cm to the height. As an urban planner & landscape designer, it's important to me to give gardens & public spaces an individual touch. My garden clients' desire for a modern & unique garden sculpture as a highlight for their garden led me to develop the oak steles as a side project. Now, my idea for these light-catching sculptures is spreading all over the world. The combination of local oak wood & colored glass inserts made of transparent satin-finished acrylic glass creates powerful & exciting art objects that give each room a unique character through their interplay of light. All oak steles are handcrafted as unique pieces. Each sculpture receives a signature branded into it. Made from carefully dried, robust oak, the sculptures are impregnated with an oil-based glaze, making this beautiful garden accessory weatherproof for year-round outdoor use. The price includes two robust steel ground spikes (85 cm long) & a mounting kit with six stainless steel screws. You can choose between raw steel (which will rust) or galvanized steel for the ground spikes. Brushed stainless steel spikes are available for an additional 40. The steles do not need to be set in concrete; simply driving them into the ground is sufficient, even in stormy weather. This sculpture also makes a striking living room decoration when placed on an oak base.
