Handmade Lamp in Natural Wood & Japanese Paper. The Call Of The Wild, Jack London

Dimensions : 8 inch x 10,8 inch Pine Table lamp, completely handmade by cutting & assembling various size of wooden strips. The lamp is inspired by the adventure classic The Call of the Wilde, by writer Jack London. The designs I have chosen are those present in my illustrated edition. On the inside of the lamp there is the year of publication of the book & an epigraphic quote present in the incipit of the Londonian text: Old longings nomadic leap, Chafing at custom's chain; Again from its brumal sleep Wakens the ferine strain. The used materials are of natural origin & the entire hand made manufacturing process was carried out in respect of the Environment. I used the natural wood for the construction of the frame, & the traditional Japanese Washi paper for the creation of the lampshade.
