Spitfire Mkii Battle Of Britain Handmade Stainless Steel Welded Sculpture

This is a listing for a Made to Order handmade welded sculpture of the MkII Spitfire mounted on a stand. The one pictures was made to commemorate The Battle of Britain, the stand incorporating the Union Flag. (stand design can be changed). The Plane itself is made entirely from reclaimed Stainless Steel, the Canopy, wheel, aerial, propeller being made from Aluminium. The stand is made from Mild Steel covered in Aluminium sheet, the rear covers are removable allowing the stand to be bolted down to a concrete pad & there are hidden screws to hold the plane on the stand. It can be made in sections to be reassembled on site where access is awkward. This model was painted but could be left base instead in a brushed finish. The model shown has a wingspan of 6 feet / approx 1.8m. & length of 1.62m excluding the stand. It is suitable to be displayed on a stand or hung by wire. We can reproduce this model or adjust it to suit the other variations of the Spitfire that followed or possibly build a different plane if preferred including changing finishes & sizes - contact us to discuss tour requirements.
