Diascund Creek was a custom commissioned project for a private collector, inspired by the river near their home. Suspended on a natural branch, this handwoven wall hanging measures 8 feet wide & over 10 feet tall. Materials include cotton, wool, recycled silk, yak, & other natural fibers. The textures vary in depth, with the maximum depth protruding about 4-5 inches off the wall. This is a highly unique & carefully crafted piece of art unlike any other. The amount of intention & meaning that is woven into each piece is felt when the viewer rests their eyes on the piece, quickly getting lost in the varying textures, organic movement, & soft lines created by sculpted fiber.
