A new handmade, candle clip, half shield shade suitable for wall lights. Made by us in our studio in York, UK. A dramatic print by John Henry Dearle who joined Morris & Co in 1878, later becoming its chief designer. Large scale symmetrical flower heads framed by gently scrolling acanthus leaves in metallic gold on a deep claret red. The light does not diffuse through the dense colour of this paper & is reflected back onto the wall. All the shades are varied to show the diversity of the print & the pattern placement may vary. Perfectly finished with a claret trim & lined lined in white to reflect light from the inside of the shade back onto the wall. French in design the half shade is perfect for your wall lights. Price is per single lampshade. It is made by hand with care using a more traditional six step process as I do not use the rolled edge method found in most lampshade making kits, giving a more refined finish.
