Solid Pine Shelving Unit. Lightweight, sturdy & compact this shelving unit is crafted from solid premium grade pine & divided into various shaped segments for holding books, decorative items & ornaments. The central shelves are slightly wider than the frame & will span skirting boards to sit flush against a wall. The compact dimensions are ideal for tighter spaces & it can be placed both vertically or horizontally. The unit also works well in multiples & can stand side by side on a wall, flank a sofa or sit in alcoves. All you have to decide is what finish & where to put it?. handmade by me in my workshop using mortise & tenon joinery & available in a variety of colours that retain pines distinctive grain patterns. Each board is treated with a light coat of natural resin shellac prior to a traditional wax finish. The shellac seals the wood allowing the wax to enhance the grain, protect the surface & leave lovely a subtle sheen.
