Gustavian White Dressing Table

Designed in Sussex by French Bedroom's design team, the Gustavian White collection of linear French furniture is made from solid wood, painted in French white; a reimagined style of our very first collection of French furniture sold when we launched back in 2006. The collection reflects how the rooms in our homes have evolved to accommodate how we live today.The flux and flow of our homes from living to working, resting to entertaining means the items of furniture need to offer dual purpose in terms of use, comfort and storage requirements. With this in mind, the Gustavian Dressing Table features long, fluted and tapered legs that hold up the traditionally symmetrical body of this dressing table, that can also transition into a writing desk.Four A4 sized drawers are adorned with bow-design gold metal drawer pulls and surround the larger middle drawer with a functional lock and key and a decorative tassel.The Writing Desk can easily and simply transition into a Dressing Table, providing separatespaces to store work files, valuables or beauty items. Crafted from solid ash wood, the hand-carved, panelled drawers feature horizontal fluting - a traditional element of Gustavian furniture design. The drawers are fitted with wooden stoppers to provide an ease of opening.Hand-carved beading surrounds the underside of the tabletop's chamfered edge, leaving no detail spared in creating the perfect piece of versatile French Gustavian furniture.
