Sherborne Mid Century Newly Upholstered Vintage Footstool Original Beech Legs

The original vinyl covering was split & torn on rescuing this beautiful little stool. The original animal hair & hay cushion pad has been left largely untouched, I have simply recovered & interlined it, restoring it's integrity & strength. I have chosen a vintage style fabric featuring a vibrant geometric diamond pattern in shades of olive green, blue, & grey called Arzu - Olivine by Romo. The original beech legs have been sanded & re-sealed to remove much of the marks & scuffs that 60 odd years have wrought. NOTE. I aim to source / rescue quality furniture that just needs a bit of tlc to restore them to their former glory. I only use high end fabrics to give a bespoke quality feel to each piece. Using such fabrics always enhances the design & makes the whole process so enjoyable for me to work with & of course, for you to enjoy. in order to comply with British Fire Safety Regulations 1988, all my re-upholstered furniture manufactured after 1st January1950 is re-upholstered using fire retardant material, or contains fire retardant linings such as barrier cloth or wool as a liner / padding.
