Lexie Carducci (@lexiecarducci) has created an incredible London waterside home. Situated by the Thames in South West London, Lexie and her husband have completely transformed their home into a modern living masterpiece. Their 23-week project has paid huge dividends!
For those who are familiar with Lexie, she loves a pop of colour. Bright yellows and pinks are always on display when Lexie is out and about. uFurnish.com’s founder, Deirdre McGettrick (@deirdremcgettrick), discovers that Lexie actually prefers neutral colour tones and minimalism in her home as a counterbalance to her taste in fashion.

Entrance

When entering Lexie’s home, you are immediately met with a WOW moment as her car garage has been transformed into a showroom. In the showroom you meet Nelly, Lexie’s classic Porsche, which sits perfectly as a piece of art to behold. Nelly is the home’s showstopper piece, the only work of art across the entire house.
Downstairs Bathroom

Cleverly, Lexie has built a downstairs bathroom located next to the garage. It’s the perfect place to clean up after exercise or use when hosting parties. The bathroom is completely rendered with microcement, making it a great wet room. The towel racks are a built-in radiator for heating the room from Just Taps in a gunmetal colour. And the vanity unit is surrounded by tiles from Minolli. The vanity unit and sink are the statement pieces of the bathroom. The bathroom sets the tone of texture that exists throughout the house.
Open Living Plan Area

Entering this area of the home provides your second WOW moment as you encounter an amazing indoor and outdoor space. Lexie’s objective was to create a Mediterranean villa vibe, with the large pivot doors providing maximum light and a passage that connects the living space seamlessly. The terrace overlooks a marina and is surrounded by barcode fencing and plant beds to create a natural feel to the outdoor living area. There’s plenty of storage built into the terrace, and Lexie ensured when purchasing her outdoor dining set that all the furniture could be packed away inside the store to avoid water damage.
Living Room

The living room is completely encased with microcement, just like the bathroom. Lexie looked at many options and wanted to avoid any joins and lines to make the space look free-flowing. She and her husband also looked at resins, but to her they didn’t feel as natural as the microcement. This created a flow to the area and matches the rounded-edge furniture in the room, giving the appearance that the furniture is floating. It has a minimalist vibe while retaining its cosy appeal.
Kitchen

Lexie’s kitchen is a blend of food preparation and guest entertaining. Inspired by designs from Kitchenhaus, Lexie opted for a dark-coloured kitchen with creative storage throughout. The dark colours of the kitchen compliment her neutral colour scheme across the house. Her kitchen also includes a Bosch cooktop with a built-in exhaust fan, a bar unit with a Smeg water spritzer and an espresso coffee maker. A Kaelo wine cooler was built into the dining table, with Lexie’s guests saying it’s their favourite piece in the kitchen.
Home Office & Spare Bedroom

A 60-piece home office had been neatly built into the landing on the 2nd level. This was previously a small bedroom. Lexie converted this into a home office and adjoined the room to the spare bedroom to create additional space for guests who stay over. The spare bedroom and home office are divided by a clever telescopic pocket door. The spare bedroom also contains a picture window which overlooks the marina and creates a super relaxing Mediterranean feel for the guests (and her dog too).
Walk-In Wardrobe

There’s no doubt this is one of Lexie’s favourite rooms in the house. The room is adorned with an open wardrobe and drawers so Lexie can easily browse through her clothing items. There’s a vanity unit neatly placed in the room and roller blinds which provide privacy and open up to let in tonnes of natural light.
Master Bedroom Terrace

This is where you will find Lexie on any sunny day. This space is Lexie’s sun-drenched private haven. With incredible all-weather sun loungers, Lexie spends long summer days relaxing and reading on them. The view of the marina is so desirable! The sun loungers took Lexie so long to find. She wanted something like you’d see in Ibiza, not just a regular wooden sun lounger but more of a bean bag that would last. She found them at the Chelsea flowershow from Armadillo Sun. From the cold wintery months right through to the summer, these sun loungers are able to handle all weather conditions… no furniture covers needed.
Master Bedroom

The master bedroom reflects the minimalist feel of the house. It is basic and calming with contrasting wall colours that interact smartly with the natural light that enters the room.
Ensuite

The dark theme from the kitchen is brought into the ensuite, and it creates a lovely contrast to the neutral colour scheme in the master bedroom. Lexie likes to call her ensuite a nightclub bathroom, and it truly does look like one. There’s a walk-in shower and beautiful vanity unit that has a holiday accommodation feel to it.
Lexie's home shows just how much a considered colour palette can transform a space, swapping her signature bold fashion sense for calm neutrals and microcement throughout. From the showroom garage to the sun-drenched terrace overlooking the marina, every room has been shaped around light, flow and easy indoor-outdoor living, making the house feel every bit the Mediterranean retreat Lexie set out to create.
