Handcrafted Ceramic Christmas Tree 18

This Ceramic Christmas tree will bring back memories of times past! It measures 18 inches including the star & 16 inches from base to tip without the star. The bottom of the tree measures approximately 11.5 wide. You are purchasing a finished, handcrafted ceramic tree. It is glazed & comes wired, ready to light up. It includes the star & multicolored (random pick of 6 different colors) twist lights. We handcraft each tree, so each one is just a little different. We start the process with slip (a liquid clay) that we pour into a large & HEAVY mold. After a close watch of about an hour, the tree & base molds are dumped of excess liquid. They then sit overnight to set up. The next day we take the clay form out of the mold, clean the mold, & strap it back up. The tree get holes placed into it for the twist lights. It then has to dry for a couple days before we clean the seams off & scrub them down. Once dry, we can fire the pieces in our kiln. The kiln reaches up to 2000 degrees! They stay in the kiln for about 24 hours before we can remove them. Now comes the hand glazing. We paint 3 coats of paint on the tree & base, let them dry & fire them in the kiln again. The base is now ready to be wired. Your tree is carefully packed & boxed up & is on it's way to it's new loving home! The star & lights are NOT GLUED IN. The lights do not sit flush unless they are glued in place. The star does NOT illuminate. It stands around 16 inches from base to tip, without star & 18 inches WITH the star. The base comes wired & includes with a 40 watt bulb.
