Sophie Ann. Chest surgery pillow, 29cm in length. This is a heart shaped breast surgery pillow. It is made from Liberty Tana Lawn. The back of this pillow is made from the same Liberty fabric as the front. The design is ''Sophie Ann'' Inspired by Charles Rennie Mackintosh's botanical recordings, Sophie Ann features a number of British wildflowers, including Chicory, Cuckoo flower, Bindweed, Lesser Celandine, Common Vetch & the Dog Rose. The floral forms were drawn in pencil & layered with delicate washes of watercolour, before being overlaid to create areas of transparency. This pillow is softly filled with hi loft polyester stuffing, to gently mould itself to your body contours. It measures 11.6 inches in height. (29cm) This pillow can provide comfort & support to the chest area, following surgery to the heart or chest area. It is designed to be placed in the underarm area following breast cancer surgery, to prevent wounds from rubbing. It will gently cushion wound sites whilst sleeping, & can be used to prevent a seatbelt from rubbing. It can also be used as a cough pillow, following chest surgery. Small enough to fit inside a large handbag, it is easy to carry around. This little pillow has a fixed cover. It can be spot cleaned or machine washed at 30 degrees, but is unsuitable for tumble drying. in 2018 I went through breast cancer surgery, followed by eight months of chemotherapy & radiation treatments.
