Handmade in Britain, this large rain catcher adds a sculptural water feature & a drinking or bathing point for garden birds. Approximately 1 metre tall, it has three graduated steel bowls measuring 10cm, 15cm & 20cm across. PLEASE NOTE: supplied in bare, unrusted steel. The orange-brown finish shown in the photographs develops naturally outdoors. We can supply it pre-rusted on request; please allow approximately 7 additional days. How it works This is a rain catcher: water collects in the shallow bowls & can gently trickle from one level to the next as enough water accumulates. Position it amongst borders & planting for a simple garden water feature. Installation Push the tall steel stake directly into the soil to position the fountain amongst plants & flowers. Finish & care The mild steel is deliberately left untreated so it naturally weathers & rusts. It can be left outside throughout the year with no maintenance required. To encourage the rust finish, lightly spray the steel with salt water. Each fountain is handmade, so slight variations in the steel & developing rust finish are part of its character.
