Handmade Ceramic Christmas Ornament, Mitten & Merry

It started out as a lump of clay, & became this lovely 2 piece handmade ceramic Christmas ornament. Featuring a colorful mitten imprinted with HO HO HO surrounded by snowflakes as the bottom piece. A Merry Christmas design was pressed into the top piece, also surrounded by colorful accents. The sides of each piece are painted red. Inspired by my love of special & unique Christmas ornaments. This is a one of a kind piece. Entirely handmade of white ceramic clay. Each intricate detail of this ornament was hand painted using colorful ceramic under glazes & then sealed in clear gloss glaze. Kiln fired twice for durability. This lovely keepsake ornament hangs from red. silver, & white string The ornament measures approximately 5.25 long (excluding the ribbon for hanging) by 4 wide. It comes in a gift box. The backs of both ceramic pieces are glazed clear, & makes a perfect spot for personalization using a sharpie or paint pen. Copyright Sheila McKenna.
