This handmade lampshade is made from a genuine Scandinavian fabric featuring an intricate botanical design on a soft beige background. The pattern combines stylised leaves, delicate botanical linework & floral elements in complementary neutral shades, creating a distinctive yet understated look. This lampshade can be made for a ceiling pendant or for a lamp-base that uses either UK/EU or US lamp base fittings, & there are a wide range of diameter & height combinations allowing the shade to be tailored to the style & proportions of your lamp or room. Each light shade is made to order in my studio, & due to the nature of this design the placement of the pattern will vary slightly from one lampshade to the next, making each shade unique. Custom sizes can be made to order when possible. Ordering & cancellation As every item is handmade to order, I begin purchasing materials & making your item specifically for your order. If you need to cancel your order, I am happy to cancel & refund it provided work & materials have not yet been committed to the order. Once work has begun or materials have been committed, the lampshade will be completed & sent according to the order details. Bulb recommendation I recommend using an energy-saving LED bulb where possible. A 60 watt bulb should be considered the maximum, subject to the requirements of your lamp fitting & bulb manufacturer. Safety When making handmade lampshades it is important to ensure that the components I use are the safest possible. Glow wire testing is an electrical safety test designed to evaluate the flame resistant properties of materials used in electrical devices. The lining material I use for the lampshades has been tested in the Lighting Association Laboratories & has passed the glow wire test meaning that fabrics, textiles or papers that are laminated to the lining material will become fire resistant.
