Personalized Christmas Stocking With A Train

This stocking features a train... a popular design which has been requested by many people. It is old fashioned, timeless & still in style! Just like the stockings themselves. The stockings are always made by me with domestic wool spun in Maine. I work on a hand powered knitting loom in a home studio. All the yarns are heathered, which means that very slight flecks of other colors are visible, adding to the richness & complexity of the hue. The green is a strong, dark sylvan green, the red has a deep antique look, & the ivory cream white sets off the other colors well. The stocking measures approx. 17 vertically from heel to cuff & about 6 across in the middle; the foot measures about 9. The stocking becomes quite a bit longer when hanging & stuffed: it stretches pleasantly.... like a knit hat or mittens.
