If you are unsure of the wording to add to your bauble, most people opt for names first eg Mum & Dad then - Golden Wedding, Golden Anniversary or Golden Wedding Anniversary & then a date. You can have the full date eg. 12th September 2024, a shorter variation eg. 12th Sept '24 - or just the year 2024. Some people like to add the year of the original wedding 1974, or even 1974 - 2024.
